As a freshman, Brooke won 1st place in her division at the X-Squared Student Pitch Competition, pitching Oats Elevated to judges and a live audience at St. Xavier High School against a field of 70+ high schoolers, most of them upperclassmen.
Behind the business
Brooke Sweeney started Oats Elevated in her family’s Northern Kentucky kitchen at 14, on the hunt for a breakfast that was clean and healthy but also convenient and genuinely good-tasting. When she could not find one on the shelf, she set out to make it herself, and to make eating well more accessible for others. She still makes every batch by hand, alongside her parents, and sells at farmers markets across Greater Cincinnati.
